Welcome

Welcome to CluedUpDads, a blog for dads with kids of all ages and anyone whose ever parented their way through life.

I'm a dad, I have two children and am blindly stumbling my way through fatherhood. This is therefore not a preachy do-gooders blog, full of advice on how to do things right and raise perfect children. Rather, this is a place where I can vent my frustrations and rant about the many things that annoy me as a result of being a dad in Britain today.

I am also a prostate cancer survivor. I was diagnosed aged 40, had surgery and am now technically cancer-free. It was an experience that thankfully few men in their early 40s go through, but it is one that I'm keen to shine a light on, in the hope that I can help other dads to get through similar situations. So I might occasionally use this blog to shine a bit of a light on men's health and get you thinking about your own wellbeing.

And I'm a runner. I have been since my twenties and I'm probably a bit addicted to it. I bore people with talk of mileage, pace, segment times and Strava kudos. But I'm keeping that part of my life separate, so am also blogging at Clued Up Runners if you're at all interested.

Enjoy.
